VIDEO: Don Baylor’s two-run homer in ninth inning in Game Five of 1986 ALCS

Most people remember Dave Henderson’s home run in the top of the ninth inning of Game Five of the 1986 American League Championship Series for the Boston Red Sox. The homer tied the game and kept the Angels from winning the pennant. The Red Sox won the game in 11 innings and then won Games Six and Seven in Boston to complete a stunning comeback.

But most people forget that Henderson’s homer was set up by a two-run blast off the bat of Don Baylor earlier in the ninth inning of Game Five. Baylor’s one-out homer pulled the Red Sox within one run. One out later, Henderson hit his famous homer.
