The 1971 All-Star Game is considered by many to be the greatest in Midsummer Classic history. It had great stars, great moments, lots of home runs. The biggest shot that night came off the bat of Oakland’s Reggie Jackson. Not yet known as “Mr. October,” Reggie entered the game as a pinch-hitter and quickly excited the crowd by hitting the ball off the lght tower on the roof of the old ballpark.
